Let today be the day.
Let today shape what your tomorrows look like.
Let today not be judged by what yesterdays looked like.
Let today be the day that your mind opens to new possibilities.
Let today be the day that you allow your potential to begin to shine.
Let today be the start of your positive, healthier lifestyle.
New Year’s Day. A day of introspection and contemplation. A day to put the measuring stick to what you accomplished last year and determine what you’ll set-out to do this year. I often feel we should have a ‘new year’s day’ several time throughout the year. With the speed that we receive information nowadays, we are able to apply new ideas immediately. Sometimes a year seems too long to wait to assess our chosen actions, decide if a change of course is necessary and then decide how to proceed forward.
What changes would you like to make this year? What qualities of yourself would you like to see more of? What qualities would you like to see less of? Do you have a plan to attain those desires?

New Year’s Assignment: Clean House — a fabulous way to start the new year right.
Two simple steps to get you started and you can complete quickly.
1. REMOVE and DONATE any food or beverage items from your home that you know are doing you know good. Go ahead, we all have them. Be honest with yourself and if you can say that a particular item is unhealthy, makes you feel bad after eating it or is just plain junk food, go ahead and rid yourself of it now. Why have the temptation nearby. Just do away with it. Donate it if it makes you feel better.
2. ORGANIZE YOUR CLOSET
This is not a full spring cleaning. There are two goals here for today:
a. Donate items that don’t fit or don’t make you feel divine when wearing them. This includes clothing, undergarments, shoe and accessories. You will feel lighter when ridding yourself of the things that don’t work for you. They will be treasured by someone else when you donate them. Feel good in that, too.
b. Group together your clothes that are comfortable and can be used to exercise, stretch, meditate in. Keep these items clustered together so you can just grab them when you need them without much thinking. This group includes the actual clothing in addition to the support undergarments needed and footwear.
I love to do these two things at the start of each year. It brings clarity to my purpose and helps me to be more efficient. I’d love to hear how you feel about them.
Happy New Year!
